2011 Camino Real Venture Competition

University of Texas El Paso, College of Business Administration

7 regional student teams from 4 universities competed in the 3rd annual Camino Real Venture Competition. More than $30,000 in cash prizes and in-kind services were awarded to the winners. The schools represented in this year's competition were Colorado State University, University of Texas El Paso, University of New Mexico, and United States Air Force Academy.

2010 Camino Real Venture Competition
March 5 -6, 2010

Student teams from 5 U.S. and Mexican universities presented business plans based on innovative technologies to a group of judges consisting of successful business people, entrepreneurs, venture capitalists and other business experts. The schools represented in this year's competition were Colorado State University, University of Texas El Paso, University of New Mexico, United States Air Force Academy, and Tecnológico de Monterrey, Campus Chihuahua.

Inaugural Camino Real Venture Competition
March 5 -7, 2009

12 regional teams competed in the first annual Camino Real Venture Competition, at the El Paso Garden Hilton and the College of Business Administration on the UTEP campus. More than $25,000 in cash and prizes, including a $10,000 cash first prize motivated teams from New Mexico State University, University of New Mexico, New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, University of Texas El Paso, TecMilenio de Cd. Juarez, Universidad Autonoma de Chihuahua, and Tecnologico de Monterrey, Chihuahua campus to participate in this event.
