The BNSL is a bi-national non-profit organization that creates and promotes technology-based businesses on the U.S.-Mexico border be they start-ups, small & medium sized businesses, or large well-established companies. Our vision is to make the U.S.-Mexico border a model for prosperity and economic development. With binational stakeholders and partners in government, business, and academia, we are poised to make it happen.

On September 1, 2010 the BNSL marked its 5-year anniversary by creating a Progress Report entitled: "Celebrating Our Past--Charting a Pathway to Our Future." This report summarizes the BNSL’s activities since it first opened its doors on September 1, 2005 in Santa Teresa, NM.

The Camino Real Venture Competition (CRVC) provides a venue for young entrepreneurs to develop a business concept from planning stage, to start up, and hopefully to product commercialization. In the past two years the Competition has awarded over $24,000 in cash prizes and $65,000 in in-kind services. Academic institutions from Colorado, New Mexico, Far West Texas, and from Chihuahua, Mexico are eligible to participate.
