The BNSL is actively promoting emerging technologies with a high level of commercialization
potential and opportunity for economic development in our border region. Below are
just some of the projects the BNSL is assisting with. Please
Contact Us with your business or technology ideas.
Refinery Science Corp.(RSC) - Transglobal Oil, Corp.
RSC of El Paso, TX is a material based technology developer. RSC provides nanotech
solutions for converting heavy, extra heavy, residual, and sour crude oils into
lighter, sweeter transportation fuels.

Team Technologies
Team Technologies is a start-up MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems) Company
located in Cd. Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico with offices in El Paso, Texas. Team Technologies'
focus is in design and manufacture of MEMS devices and first level systems integration
for the Telecom and Automotive Industry.
Mayan Pigments, Inc.
Mayan Pigments, an El Paso, TX start-up, focuses on producing vivid, high-quality
pigments that are environmentally friendly. The novel pigments are inorganic/organic
hybrid nano-complexes that are remarkably stable and have superior color strength.
They are unusual as they exhibit properties intermediate between inorganic and organic
pigments, making them suitable for a wide variety of applications.
Laser Text Display (LTD), LLC
LTD is a New Mexico based start-up which developed a technology that utilizes a
multitude of lasers in specific alphanumeric patterns, and incorporates patent-pending
optical elements using diffractive gratings to produce projected elements of characters
or numbers. LTD intends to configure and enhance Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting
Laser (VCSEL) technology, developed by Sandia National Laboratory, as the primary
technology to accomplish projected information in alphanumeric form onto any suitable
surface that will reflect brilliant laser light of various colors.
Paso del Norte (PDN) MEMS/NEMS
Packaging Cluster
The PDN MEMS/NEMS Packaging Cluster was established in February 2004 and consists
of academia, government, and industry/business in the Paso del Norte region who
are collaborating and joining their core competencies to focus on MEMS/NEMS packaging
applications, but is also including design and development (hardware and software),
as well as technology commercialization through the aid of the BNSL.
EP Solar
EP Solar is a solar energy service provider (SESP) dedicated to providing large
commercial businesses in the Southwest with predictably-priced, clean electricity.
EP Solar will finance and own a distributed portfolio of micro-generation solar
power plants that operate on the roofs of commercial buildings. Under this model
the customer has no initial capital outlay and only pays for the electricity consumed
at rates equal to or below the rate of the local electric utility. The true benefits
of this model are realized over time, when utilities rates rise and rates for electricity
from the EP Solar installation stay the same.

MKey Technologies, LLC
MKey Technologies has invented a method of using software and hardware devices to
capture and record keystrokes remotely to be used primarily for security applications.
MKey is further developing its technology, building prototypes, and strengthening
their patent portfolio.
Petrolog Automation, Inc.
Originally a Chihuahua-based company that has recently incorporated in Texas, Petrolog
is the developer of user-programmable device designed for autonomous operation controlling
the ON/OFF condition of oil pumping equipment with integrated capability to report
its relevant operating status through a telemetry link.
C Winn, Inc.
C Winn Inc. is a design group developing advanced ergonomic products that are intended
"to make life easier." C Winn is incubating (virtually) at the BNSL and is currently
developing their first prototype product with the assistance of a key BNSL partner.
